Easy Trader Joe's Orange Chicken with Pineapple and Vegetables
This Trader Joe’s orange chicken recipe is quick and easy, and family-friendly. With crispy orange chicken, bell peppers, onion, pineapple, and jasmine rice, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner in under 30 minutes.
Bake the chicken according to package instructions.
Warm the sauce packet in hot water while the chicken cooks.
While the chicken is cooking, slice or dice the pineapple, peppers, and onion.
In a sauté pan or skillet, drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil or spray the pan with oil. Add the veggies to the pan, and cook until tender.
When the chicken is done, add it to the pan with the veggies and pour over the orange sauce. Stir everything together until well-coated.
Microwave the frozen jasmine rice according to the package directions so it’s ready to serve.
Step 7: Spoon the orange chicken, veggies, and pineapple over jasmine rice and serve hot.
Notes
Frozen stir-fry veggies from Trader Joe’s also work as an easy swap. Every few weeks, I buy this orange chicken, rice, and frozen stir-fry veggies from Trader Joe's. I keep them in the freezer until I need them, so I always have a quick and easy meal on hand.
For extra spice, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
Leftovers reheat well for lunch the next day.
